The Bengal Rising: Finance & Investment Summit 2026, organized by School of Day Traders (SODT), concluded successfully at The Park Hotel, Park Street, Kolkata, bringing together policymakers, financial experts, investors, educators, entrepreneurs, and market professionals for an insightful discussion on India’s evolving financial ecosystem and the importance of financial literacy.

The summit was inaugurated by Shri Sukanta Majumdar, Hon’ble Union Minister of State (MoS), Ministry of  Education and Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Government of India, who emphasized that financial  education should become an integral part of the school curriculum. He stated that while Artificial Intelligence is shaping the future, financial literacy is equally essential for empowering the next generation to make informed economic decisions. He stressed that students should be introduced to concepts such as stock markets, IPOs, SIPs, investing, and wealth creation from an early stage to build a financially aware and self-reliant India.

The event was graced by Shri Khagen Murmu, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Maldaha Uttar, as the Chief Guest.

The summit was chaired by CA Deendayal Agrawal, Convenor, BJP Delhi CA Cell and Founder, CSR Research Foundation, while Shri Shreekumar Lakhotia, Convenor, Pravashi Prakost, BJP Rajasthan, attended as the Guest of Honour.

The summit was organized under the leadership of Bholanath Das, Founder of School of Day Traders (SODT), SEBI Registered Research Analyst, Bestselling Author, TEDx Speaker, and  Educator. In his address, he highlighted the urgent need to make financial literacy accessible to every citizen and welcomed the Hon’ble Minister’s support for introducing financial education at the school level.

The conference featured keynote addresses, live trading and investment masterclasses, discussions on wealth creation, portfolio management, stock market outlook for 2026, and interactive sessions with industry leaders. Participants also explored practical approaches to investment planning, risk management, and emerging opportunities in India’s financial markets.

More than 200 delegates, including SEBI-registered professionals, investors, traders, entrepreneurs, corporate representatives, educators, and students, participated in the summit, making it one of Eastern India’s significant gatherings focused on financial education and investment awareness.

A major highlight of the event was the launch of an educational book on financial literacy by Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Sukanta Majumdar, reinforcing the message that financial awareness should begin at the grassroots level.

The summit concluded with a renewed commitment from organizers and participants to promote financial literacy, responsible investing, and inclusive wealth creation, positioning Bengal Rising: Finance & Investment Summit as a leading platform for dialogue and collaboration in the financial sector.
