Delhi Floods Update: Water in Politics’s Homes Staff Carries MP to Car

As heavy rain brought Delhi to a deadlock, and troubled the common people, several MPs who lived in the capital due to the going to parliament session were left high and dry due to waterlogging outside their residences.

MP of Congress Shashi Tharoor said his entire home is underwater even in every room. He also mentioned that the furniture inside his residence was ruined.

“Got up, and found that my entire home was drowning in water. Carpets and Furniture, to be sure all the things on the ground are ruined,”

Mr Thiruvananthapuram MP tweeted “Mine and neighborhood are all blocked, so the water has no place to go. And they switched off their residence at 6 am for fear of electrocuting people”.

Moreover, Tharoor said the water was cleaned out of the roads, and anyhow he made the way to reach parliament on time.

The extreme rainfall caused problems for Samajwadi Party MP Ram Gopal Yadav after the water was submerged outside his bungalow in the Lodhi Estate. This picture showed Yadav’s staff lifting him on their shoulders and carrying him to his vehicle.

He explained, “I had to do all possible things to arrive at the parliament. I came out in the car, and then people lifted me to the car”.

Hitting the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, he said, “I have been talking to MCD Officials since 4 am. Someone needs to remove the water.”

Delhi Water Minister Atishi’s residence was also blocked. The reporter showed dire flooding outside the residence of the AAP leader,  who recently went on a hunger strike surrounded by rainlessness in Delhi.

Back in the day, Delhi BJP councillor Ravindra Singh Negi held a protest against the AAP government over the situation in the capital by rowing an inflated boat on a flooded street.
