The National Centre for Seismology reported that a 4.9-magnitude earthquake occurred early on Monday in the Doda area of Jammu and Kashmir.
At 5.38 am, the earthquake struck. Officials stated that there are no early reports of any damage.
The Doda region contained the epicentre, which was 10 km below the earth’s surface. The NCS reported that it happened near latitude 33.15 degrees north and longitude 75.68 degrees east.
Twelve tremors of varying magnitude have rattled Doda since June of this year, according to officials.
On June 13, a 5.4 magnitude earthquake struck the neighbourhood, damaging breaches in hundreds of structures, including homes.
