A 22-year-old Bengaluru student is accused of killing his college’s security officer in a horrifying event because the guard had forbidden him from entering the campus when he was a student. The student was seen stabbing the security guard in the CCTV footage from the Tuesday incident that went viral on social media.

According to reports, the accused is identified as Bhargav Jyoti Bhumran, a third-year BA student from Sindhi College in Kempapura. Bhumran participated in the college fest and wanted to step out of college at noon. A staffer warned him that he would not be allowed to come back to the campus for the day if he ventured out. However, Bhumran left the college, and when he tried to return to the campus at 12:30 PM, the security guard intercepted him and did not allow him to enter the college.

At 2:30 pm, the accused came back and began fighting with the security officer. The security guard was then repeatedly stabbed in the chest by him as he flashed the knife he had purchased and ran from the scene. Despite being sent to the hospital right away, the injured man was pronounced dead by the time they arrived.
