A Massive Fire Breaks Out at the Restaurant in Shaheen Bagh Area, 7 Fire Bridget On Spot

A massive fire broke out at a restaurant in Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh area on Saturday evening around 5:45 pm, there were 7 Fire engines on the spot to douse the flames, succeeded and it is under control. The fire started with a spark in the electrical wire which soon caught on to the restaurant. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in the incident. 

Visuals of the blaze shared on social media showed the building indulged in raging flames as towering plumes of thick black smoke proceeded outwards. The brust broke out at a hospital located near the Vinoba Puri metro station in the crowded Lajpat Nagar area.

No injuries or victims have been reported so far. A Delhi Fire Services (DFS) official stated that the firefighting operation is still underway and further details are awaited.

Some people from the restaurant were discharged promptly when the fire broke out. 

Earlier in the day, a big fire broke out in the private hospital in East Delhi’s Vivek Vihar.  More than seven newborn babies died in the fire at New Born Baby Care Hospital.

Fire incidents have been reported in a few places due to short circuits in the electricity supply or an overload of electricity lines due to the use of air conditioners and other equipment. 

The ministry explained the potential risks associated with fire threats in hospitals, persuading the implementation of strict protocols and measures to avert fire effectively. The Union Health Minister has communicated to all States and Union Terrorists (UTs) the increased risk of hospital fires during the summer to prevent such incidents, mock drills should be conducted in hospitals to train the staff during such incidents.
