New Tehri, Uttarakhand – The United Left parties led by CPI State Secretary Jagdish Kuliyal held a sit-in protest at the New Tehri district headquarters to raise their concerns about the rising inflation, unemployment, poverty, religious frenzy, and social inequality in Uttarakhand state.

The protest, which lasted for several hours, was attended by a large number of supporters from various walks of life, including farmers, workers, students, and activists. The protesters held up placards and chanted slogans demanding immediate action from the state government to address the pressing issues facing the people of Uttarakhand.

Speaking at the protest, CPI State Secretary Jagdish Kuliyal said, “The people of Uttarakhand are suffering due to the rising inflation, unemployment, poverty, religious frenzy, and social inequality. The state government has failed to provide any relief to the people, and it is high time that they take urgent steps to address these issues.”

He further added, “The government must take immediate steps to provide employment opportunities to the youth, increase wages for workers, and provide relief to farmers who are facing severe distress due to the ongoing agrarian crisis. We demand that the government take concrete steps to address the issues of poverty, social inequality, and religious frenzy that are plaguing our state.”

The United Left parties have been raising their concerns about the state of affairs in Uttarakhand for several months now, and the sit-in protest at New Tehri district headquarters was yet another attempt to draw the government’s attention to the pressing issues facing the people of Uttarakhand.

The United Left parties have vowed to continue their struggle until the government takes concrete steps to address the issues of rising inflation, unemployment, poverty, religious frenzy, and social inequality in Uttarakhand.
