Delhi Exit Polls Live: BJP Returns After Two Decades, AAP Out, Predicts Exit Polls

New Delhi: Exit surveys for the 2025 Delhi election show a clear advantage for the Bharatiya Janata Party, with the Congress projected to lose again. Votes will be counted on Saturday. The ruling Aam Aadmi Party’s bid for a third term is likely to fail.

There are 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly. The majority mark is thus established at 36.

Health warning: Exit polls are frequently inaccurate.

According to NDTV’s exit polls, the BJP has 41 seats, the AAP has 28, and the Congress has one seat, which is a positive improvement after receiving zero votes in the last two polls. If this is the outcome, it will be the first time in two decades that the BJP will control the Delhi government.

Big Win For BJP?

Breaking it down, seven exit polls—DV Research, Chanakaya Strategies, JVC, Poll Diary, P-Marq, People’s Insight, and People’s Pulse—all predict that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP will win; in fact, the latter predicts a landslide victory and has given the saffron party between 51 and 60 of Delhi’s 70 Assembly seats. Poll Diary and People’s Insight each predict that the BJP will win at least 39 seats, while DV Research thinks it will just about hit the magic mark. However, there are two notable exit polls: Poll Diary (50) and Peoples’ Pulse (60).

Have Hope for AAP?

However, there are two notable examples.

According to the WeePreside exit poll, Arvind Kejriwal’s party will win between 46 and 52 seats, marking yet another landslide victory.

Additionally, the AAP is predicted by the Mind Brink survey to win between 44 and 49 seats.

If not, the AAP, which entered the election fighting allegations of corruption against Mr. Kejriwal, is predicted to win no more than 34 seats (DV Research) and maybe as few as 10 (People’s Pulse). After winning 67 in 2015 and 62 in 2020, this is a significant loss.

The AAP, on the other hand, has categorically denied the exit poll results, claiming that they were similarly dismissed prior to its victories in 2015 and 2020. “This is our fourth election… every time exit polls did not show AAP (winning), but Arvind Kejriwal has worked for the people of Delhi,” AAP leader Susil Gupta told news agency ANI. We will establish the government and observe the outcomes in favor of the AAP.”

The Matrize exit poll, on the other hand, predicts a hung House with the BJP winning between 35 and 40 seats and Mr. Kejriwal’s party winning between 32 and 37.

Congress Is Still in Chaos

The Congress’s absence stands out amid all of these.

According to Chanakya Strategies, the party is only anticipated to secure three seats, and the People’s Pulse actually predicts that the faltering Gandhi family-led party will secure zero seats once more.
