Results from the previous year showed that girls fared better than boys.

The Ministry of Secondary Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, oversees the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), an independent organisation that administers the exams.

The department is in charge of holding many exams, including the SSC/OSSC Public Examinations.

According to the DGE office’s website, SSC/OSSC exams are given twice a year.
