After Doda district of Jammu division, an encounter has started in Keran sector of Kupwara district in northern Kashmir. On Thursday, firing took place between terrorists and security forces near the India-Pakistan Line of Control (LOC) in Keran, a border area. Army’s 6 RR and police’s SOG personnel have taken up the front on the spot. Firing is going on from both sides.

The weather in Jammu and Kashmir has deteriorated on Thursday. It has rained in many areas. It is cloudy. Due to this, the hilly areas are surrounded by fog. Meanwhile, the security forces are fighting the terrorists.

On the other hand, an encounter is going on in Doda as well. Intermittent firing is taking place amid the bad weather. The operation to search for terrorists has been going on in Doda since Monday. This is the third encounter in Doda in four days, but the security forces have not been able to achieve success yet. Dense forests, high mountains and bad weather remain a challenge for the security forces, but the soldiers are standing firm. An officer said that the terrorists will be wiped out soon. Ramban-Doda Range DIG Shridhar Patil said that the operation is still going on. It will be completed soon.

Two soldiers were injured in an encounter in Kastigarh area of ​​Doda at around 2 am. After initial treatment at the government hospital, they were admitted to the Command Hospital. They are undergoing treatment here.

Officials said that a search operation is going on in the area. Meanwhile, the army saw suspicious activities at night. Immediately during the search, contact was established with the terrorists, after which the encounter started. They said that two army soldiers were injured during the initial firing.
