Ellen DeGeneres to return with Netflix special for one last time

When Ellen DeGeneres returns to Netflix for her farewell stand-up special, she vows to address every elephant in the room. Six years will pass since her last comedy hour, Relatable. Her second collaboration with the streamer is the Netflix special.

Later in 2024 is when the special is expected to arrive. Ellen responded to questions from the public by saying, “Yes, I will talk about it,” in a statement. Yes, I am ending my special today. The talk show host and comedian made reference to the controversy surrounding Ellen DeGeneres’ show, which started when several of her former coworkers accused her of creating a toxic work environment and harassing her staff. She ended the show as a result of this.

The accusations led to an internal investigation from WarnerMedia and Ellen took responsibility for the workplace culture. She apologised to everyone who was involved in the production. Three executives from the show were ultimately fired. 

Meanwhile, the new Netflix special will be produced by Ben Winston and Fulwell73.

On June 19, Ellen DeGeneres will begin a multi-city stand-up tour in San Diego, in addition to the recently announced Netflix special.
