The Karnataka government has formed a Special Investigation Team to investigate the alleged role of JD(S) MP and Hassan candidate Prajwal Revanna in a sex scandal involving several women. In her complaint to police, a woman named his father HD Revanna, Holenarasipura MLA and son of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, as an accused.
Prajwal is alleged to have fled the nation for Germany. The woman complainant told Holenarasipura police that she decided to come forward and identify Revanna and Prajwal after witnessing online videos of other victims recounting their experiences. She detailed her case, alleging that the abuse occurred between 2019 and 2022.
Her allegation, along with others’, as well as the FIR filed against Prajwal, will be forwarded to the SIT, which will be led by Additional General of Police Bijay Kumar Singh. Suman D Pennekar and Seema Latkar, IPS officers, are among the team members.
“Deve Gowda and I have never mistreated a woman. The state government has ordered a SIT probe, therefore let the report be released. We will not shield anyone. “Let the truth out,” he said.
