On January 25, Akasa Air unveiled special direct and connecting flights to Prayagraj from Pune, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru to accommodate the surge in travel demand during the Mahakumbh Mela. These flights will operate between January 28 and February 26.

According to the airline’s schedule, daily flights from these four cities will include a layover in Delhi, while direct flights will also be available on select days.

Mahakumbh, one of India’s largest religious festivals, commenced on January 13 and concludes on February 26, coinciding with Maha Shivratri. Held once every 12 years at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, the event is a grand spiritual gathering.
