In the last 24 hours, new violence in Manipur has resulted in the deaths of nine individuals, including a woman, and the injuries of several others. According to sources in the army, the killings occurred in a shooting incident that happened late at night in the Khamenlok region.
A number of individuals hurt have been taken for medical attention in Imphal. Several bullet wounds and cut marks can be seen on the bodies of several of the victims of the assault.
