PM Modi Sports Rajasthani ‘Bandhani’ Turban At Republic Day Parade

World Population Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is well-known for showcasing India’s varied cultures through his fashion choices, wore a “Bandhani” turban on the occasion of the nation’s 75th Republic Day this year to represent the country’s diversity.
The first glimpse of PM Modi’s attire was unveiled as he arrived at the National War Memorial prior to the Republic Day parade. He was seen sporting a white kurta, brown coat, and white pants in addition to his characteristic turban.

At the Kartavya Path, President Droupadi Murmu unfurled the national flag to officially kick off the Republic Day program. The national anthem and a thunderous 21-gun salute using the native 105-mm Indian Field Guns system came after the flag was unfurled.

At Kartavya Path, four Mi-17 IV helicopters belonging to the 105 Helicopter Unit then showered the spectators with petals.

The next event was “Aavaahan,” a band concert featuring more than 100 female musicians representing “Nari Shakti” with a variety of percussion instruments.

Leading the country’s largest ceremony for the past seven decades is French President Emmanuel Macron, who is among a handful of world leaders present.
