World Population Day

According to officials, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) began searching several locations in Kolkata and its surrounding areas this morning as part of its investigation into the West Bengal teacher recruitment scam.
According to reports, a five-person ED team was searching the home of a former para-teacher in the Patharghata Mazar Sharif neighborhood of New Town, which borders Kolkata. The para-teacher is allegedly a close associate of the detained former state education minister Partha Chatterjee.

According to the officials, searches were also conducted at the accountant’s home in the northern part of the city, in the Nagerbazar neighborhood.

Investigation Department (ED) searches were carried out at the homes of a few businessmen, educators, and middlemen who were purportedly involved in the fraud in the Rajarhat area.

The ED’s investigation to follow the money’s path in the multi-crore scam includes the current raids.
