Mohan Bhagwat, the head of the RSS, stated on Thursday that constructing a Ram temple is not a way to become a Hindu leader.
Speaking at the Vishwaguru Bharat lecture series in Pune, Bhagwat stated, “One does not become a Hindu leader by erecting a Ram temple, which is a matter of religion for Hindus. For Indians, the Ram temple is a matter of religion. Under the load of the past, we should not resort to extreme anger, animosity, hostility and after raising suspicions, we should not rake up new issues”.
According to Bhagwat, there isn’t peace in the world even with its richness and sophisticated amenities. And for that reason, the world needs a guru. India can meet that need. “Vishwaguru is the one who walks the path of equality demonstrated by the sants and forgets caste and religious differences,” he stated.
