According to PTI, Hyderabad police have filed a case against Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat candidate K Madhavi Latha, and other BJP leaders for allegedly employing children in a recent election campaign. The FIR was registered in response to a complaint submitted by Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) vice-president Niranjan Reddy, who claimed that during a BJP rally from Laldawaza to Sudha Talkies on May 1, several underage children were present on the dias with Amit Shah. Niranjan Reddy, in his complaint to the Telangana Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), alleged that the appearance of a youngster displaying a BJP emblem violates the Election Commission’s standards, according to a PTI report.

When the CEO received the report, he submitted it to the city police for inquiry, and the Moghalpura police station filed a FIR on Thursday evening.

Along with Amit Shah and Madhavi Latha, the FIR accuses several other BJP leaders, including T Yaman Singh, senior BJP leader G Kishan Reddy, and MP T Raja Singh.

The case has been filed under IPC Section 188, which deals with the breach of directives issued by a public worker. Police are currently conducting a further investigation into the situation.
