“Our Spirit Is Unstoppable”: Telangana Leader On Women’s Quota Bill

World Population Day

BRS leader K Kavitha praised the adoption of the Women’s Reservation Bill in Parliament and vowed to continue fighting “to safeguard” and secure representation for OBC women.

She referred to the bill’s passage as “historic,” saying it was a triumph for democracy, equality, and the strength of every Indian woman.

The BRS MLC stated in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that this was not just about politics but also about advancement, representation, and breaking down barriers.

It’s about a better future where the voices of our great women help determine the course of our cherished motherland, said Ms. Kavitha, a fervent supporter of the women’s reservation bill.

“To the amazing ladies of India: We are indomitable in spirit! India is now more diverse and empowered thanks to our strength, tenacity, and steadfast spirit.

She continued, “We will keep fighting to protect & seek assured representation of OBC women! #WomensReservationBill.”

She had urged all political parties to support the bill earlier this month.

Ms. Kavitha protested in favour of it in New Delhi in March of this year.

The Rajya Sabha voted overwhelmingly in favour of the historic measure on Thursday, passing it into law and reserving one-third of seats in the Lok Sabha and state legislatures for women.
