Team India Arrival Live Updates: Let the world know that the winners have returned home at last. Arriving in New Delhi on Thursday, Rohit Sharma’s Team India left Barbados following Hurricane Beryl. Following India’s championship-winning run at the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in the Caribbean, Rohit and company have returned home. In the exciting final at Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday, Rohit’s Team India defeated South Africa by seven runs, ending the lengthy wait for an ICC trophy.
Yesterday, the Indian team took a charter flight from Grantley Adams International Airport to Delhi. The Indian squad was left stuck in Barbados for three days by a category-four storm.

The winning team, Air India Champions 24 World Cup (AIC24WC), is the name of the special charter aircraft operated by Air India. It departed the Caribbean island at 4:50 a.m. local time and arrived in the nation’s capital at around 6:20 a.m. (IST) today.

After Hurricane Beryl delayed the Indian squad’s departure, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) prepared a charter jet for the players, support personnel, players’ families, board executives, and members of the traveling media group. Indian journalists who were stranded in Barbados boarded the same flight as BCCI president Roger Binny and secretary Jay Shah, according to vice-president Rajeev Shukla of the BCCI.

Rohit’s Team India arrived at the ITC Maurya to a hero’s welcome, and Rishabh Pant was the one who carried the trophy inside. The next meeting will take place at 11 a.m. at PM Narendra Modi’s house. The crew is going to Mumbai after they attend the morning session with Modi. Later in the evening, there will be an open-air bus road show departing from Nariman Point. The winning bus procession will be followed by a felicitation celebration at Wankhede Stadium.
