Shalin Bhanot On Choosing ‘Inspector Avinash’ As OTT Debut: I Wanted To Do Something Very Unique, Different And Challenging

‘Inspector Avinash’ marks the acting debut of Shalin Bhanot on OTT. The web series, in which Randeep Hooda stars as Avinash Mishra, is based on the story of real-life police officer Avinash Mishra and his battle against crime. In the police drama, Shalin will play Baljeet Singh and appear in a never-before-seen role. It will be a treat for his admirers to see the actor from “Bigg Boss” famous in this capacity as a sardar.

Shalin discussed why he picked this part for his first OTT appearance in an interview with Outlook, and he also expressed his excitement for the upcoming episode.

His appearance remained a secret, and the ‘Inspector Avinash’ teaser did not reveal it. Shalin’s first look was finally shown ahead of its release, and fans can’t control their excitement. “For about one and a half years, we have been hiding this look. The creators were also certain that they didn’t want to share anything until the appropriate moment. It is now available. It’s a great and challenging role,” stated Shalin.

The “Bekaboo” actor responded, “There are people who want to work with me and I really have a lot of gratitude for that,” when asked why he said yes to the part. I wanted to use a very original and distinctive approach. I wished to engage in a challenging and enjoyable activity. I got to collaborate with such amazing actors in this role, including Randeep Hooda, Neerraj Pathak, and everyone else. I was happy that by working with them, I would be able to experience something new and learn a lot. So I made the decision to proceed.

Shalin has never performed anything like this before, so he is both anxious and enthusiastic for his impending event. I haven’t seen a single one of my shots, he continued. Since Neerraj Pathak is the director and did a fantastic job, I was strictly adhering to his vision. When you work so hard—we shot for 120 days for our web show—there is a mixture of excitement and nervousness, so I am both anxious and excited.

While talking about working in both television and OTT, he said, ” I am a newcomer now and still learning. Craftwise it’s very different. The genre is not explored earlier. So, the genre and craft of ‘Inspector Avinash’ are very different. I have enjoyed a lot and learned new things.” He also said that he wants to do different kinds of roles in the future.

In addition to Urvashi Rautela, Adhyayan Suman, Amit Sial, Abhimanyu Singh, Freddy Daruwala, and Rahul Mittra, “Inspector Avinash” also features Urvashi Rautela and Adhyayan Suman in key roles.

On May 18, Jio Cinema is planned to debut it.
