Shatrughan Sinha of the Trinamool Congress said, “BJP Harassing Opposition Using Agencies.”

Shatrughan Sinha, a member of the Trinamool Congress, accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) administration of harassing the opposition via federal agencies and called it a “desperate attempt for vengeance” on Friday.
Shatrughan Sinha said, “Some people are there, and some agencies that are there are not doing the right thing; they are trying in vain to harass many people, particularly the opposition.”

Friday’s Bengal teacher recruitment scandal resulted in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoning TMC youth president Saayoni Ghosh earlier in the day.

The ED interrogated TMC Youth President Saayoni Ghosh for 11 hours.

He reacted angrily, accusing the BJP of making a last-ditch effort to exact retribution before they lose power.

As the lamp flickers before going out, the BJP is making a desperate effort to exact revenge, he claimed.

The MP added that the BJP brought up the topic of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in order to draw people’s attention away from crucial issues like unemployment and inflation as the election drew near.

The women’s reservation Bill was unpassable. All of a sudden, you bring up UCC during election season. According to TMC MP Shatrughan Sinha, you are doing these actions to draw attention away from unemployment and inflation.

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comments ahead of the elections in Madhya Pradesh, the idea of a Uniform Civil Code (UCC), which has been debated for the past four years, has once more come into prominence.

In response, the opposition referred to it as “vote bank” politics.

According to PM Modi, the Constitution already includes the Uniform Civil Code, hence the nation cannot function under two sets of laws.”People are being provoked right now in the name of UCC. On how many (laws) can a nation function? Equal rights are also mentioned in the Constitution. The Supreme Court has also requested the adoption of UCC. He claimed that the opposition members were engaging in vote-bank politics.

A Division Bench of the Supreme Court had instructed the state to “endeavour” to bring the common code in 2019, referring to the failure of succeeding administrations to “secure” the UCC for its citizens despite the codification of the Hindu law in 1956. The court declared that “despite the exhortations of this court in the case of Shah Bano in 1985, the government has done nothing to bring the Uniform Civil Code”

As a result of the opposition leaders’ accusations that PM Modi brought up the UCC issue in order to gain political advantage before the impending elections, the PM’s remarks have sparked a national controversy.
