On Friday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge announced that a decision would be made before the Parliament session on whether to reject the Centre’s rule regarding the management of administrative services in Delhi.
His comments come a day after the AAP gave the Congress an ultimatum that it would leave the Opposition meeting in Patna if it did not pledge its support on the matter.
Before leaving for Patna this morning, Mr. Kharge was questioned about the ordinance problem and the AAP’s ultimatum. He said that his party will make a decision before Parliament’s Monsoon session and questioned why it was being discussed elsewhere when it was a topic that concerned Parliament.
“Restricting it or proposing it doesn’t occur outside, it occurs in Parliament. Before Parliament starts, all gatherings conclude what issues they need to deal with together. They (AAP) know it and, surprisingly, their chiefs come to our all-party gatherings. I don’t have any idea why there is such a lot of exposure about it outside,” Mr Kharge said.
“Around 18-20 gatherings choose together on what to go against and what to acknowledge. So rather than saying anything now, we will take a choice before Parliament starts,” he said.
The gathering of resistance groups has been called by Bihar Boss Priest and Janata Dal (Joined together) boss Nitish Kumar to chalk out a joint technique to take on the decision Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 Lok Sabha surveys.
“The AAP will organize a walkout of the gathering on the off chance that the Congress doesn’t guarantee its help against the law,” one of the party sources had said.
Delhi Boss Priest Arvind Kejriwal had communicated trust on Tuesday that the Congress would clear its stand on the Middle’s mandate on the control of authoritative administrations in the public capital at the gathering of non-BJP parties in Patna.
