In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a young guy from Mangaluru lost his life after crossing the street to attend evening prayers at a mosque when he was struck by a speeding car. On Thursday at around 6:30 p.m., the event happened on Dabab Street near Batha in Riyadh.

The dead have been identified as Sirajuddin (30), a resident of Kotekani in Sajipa, a neighborhood on the outskirts of Mangaluru, and the son of Qasim and Zainaba. In Riyadh, Sirajuddin worked as a house driver.

A resident of Uppal named Mohammad Ayaz, who was crossing the street with Sirajuddin, suffered severe injuries and was sent to King Fahad Hospital for treatment.
