Lucknow: CM Yogi Adityanath has taken a big step for the Kanwar pilgrims and has ordered to put ‘nameplates’ on food shops on Kanwar routes across Uttar Pradesh. The order clearly states that the name of the owner should be written on the shops at all costs, along with this he will have to tell about his identity. Along with this, action will also be taken against those selling products with Halal certification. Till now this decision was limited to Muzaffarnagar district, but now it will be implemented in the entire state on the orders of the state government. Politics has also started on this. What was the controversy about the Kanwar Yatra?
Earlier, Saharanpur DIG Ajay Kumar Sahni has issued an order to write the name of the proprietors on the shops falling on the Kanwar route. He also told IANS the important reason behind this. He argued, “As has been happening every year regarding the Kanwar route, some people had expressed objection to the fact that when Kanwariyas come, there is a dispute over the prices of the goods.
Along with this, when the shop belongs to someone else and the name is of someone else, a situation of confusion arises. In view of this, this order has been issued to all the hotels, dhabas or food shops on the way. This order will be implemented on all the Kanwar routes in the entire state. All the shopkeepers on the Kanwar route will compulsorily write the name of the proprietor on their shops. ”
