Anika, also known as Banasree, is originally from Bangalore and is known for maintaining a graceful and well-balanced figure. Her career focuses on the world of modeling, where she showcases her beauty and elegance on various platforms. Additionally, Anika holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications, demonstrating her strong educational background. These qualities make her a remarkable individual with a diverse range of skills and experiences.
Anika’s journey began in Jaduguda, Jharkhand, a place known for its uranium mines and natural beauty. Coming from a middle-class family with her father as the primary earner, she grew up along with her mother and three sisters. Anika completed her schooling in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jaduguda, and pursued higher studies in Nagpur and Pune. To support herself financially, she worked part-time jobs in sales and marketing.
Initially, finding a job after completing her degree from IGNOU was challenging for Anika. She decided to go to Hyderabad for an internship and to enhance her skills. This marked the beginning of her journey in the IT industry, taking her to cities like Pune, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and eventually, Bangalore.
Anika worked for prestigious companies such as IBM, Accenture, and KPMG for 13 years. She started her career in a technical role but gradually transitioned into management through certifications and upskilling. Anika has always had a thirst for knowledge and loves exploring new things and embracing challenges. She began as a consultant and progressed to various managerial positions, accumulating valuable experience in the corporate world.
After completing her graduation, Anika got married. However, her marriage was tumultuous and unsuccessful. To find peace and live independently with dignity, she decided to leave Hyderabad and move to Bangalore. Although support from her husband’s family was lacking, she found solace in the emotional and mental support of her own parents.
Anika faced numerous struggles and daily challenges when she first moved to Bangalore alone. However, these experiences made her stronger as an independent woman, and she never sought external help. Despite her passion for the glamour industry, Anika was prohibited from pursuing it by her family during her college days. Nonetheless, her entrepreneurial spirit sparked during maternity leave when she craved work. This led to the development of a business idea, which she began exploring by conducting surveys and taking the necessary steps to establish a prosperous venture. She started an offline business and connected with customers, investors, and vendors, realizing her potential and business value. Encouraged by her network, she was motivated to take the leap and start her own business. Unfortunately, due to a lack of resources exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, she returned to the IT industry to fulfill family responsibilities and ensure survival as the sole breadwinner.
One day, Anika took a step towards fulfilling her passion by participating in the Mrs. Cheerful category of India Galaxy 2022, earning her the title of “Mrs. Cheerful.” This marked the start of her modeling career, as she began receiving various modeling offers. Her background as a theater artist for 12 years and her mastery of Bharatnatyam dance also opened doors for opportunities in movies. Although challenges arose from being a newcomer in the industry, Anika grew stronger each day. She currently has multiple movie projects in the pipeline and finds satisfaction in doing shoots. Her goal is to experience the work culture, fulfill her passion, and gain recognition, a name, and an identity.
Within the next two years, Anika aims to establish her own business to empower rural communities and women. She aspires to inspire and motivate individuals to step out of their comfort zones, become financially independent, and contribute equally to their families while maintaining self-respect and dignity.
Anika firmly believes that every individual possesses unique skills and aims to help others recognize and encourage their financial independence. She wants to provide a platform for individuals to showcase their talents and skills, allowing them to benefit from the globally connected economy.
Furthermore, Anika is a problem solver who willingly offers free consulting services as a form of social service. She is committed to empowering communities and helping them fight for their own rights.
