My Oscar Moment? Becoming the Muse for My Daughter

It didn’t happen on a grand stage, under spotlights, or with applause echoing in the background. My Oscar moment unfolded quietly, in the simple corners of our home—watching my daughter, Mithi, bring her imagination to life through art. A self-taught design genie, she creates without limits. From casual doodles to gaining over 40,000 views on her YouTube Shorts, she’s not just making art—she’s making an impact. As a coach and a mother, there’s no greater reward than witnessing someone you love embrace their strengths, take bold creative risks, and shine on their own terms. Growing up in a joint family, I experienced the warmth of a nurturing home, and today, my husband and I are striving to give that same environment to our daughter. In every sketch, every idea she brings to life, I see the reflection of that love and support. This—more than any trophy or title—is my proudest achievement. Wishing everyone a blessed and nurturing family life.

Sunita Singhvi – Director of Mango Dhamaka Events

As the Director of Mango Dhamaka Events, I, Sunita Singhvi, celebrate the essence of family—not just in life, but in every event I create. To me, family is the soul of every journey, and this day is a beautiful reminder of that bond.

My family is my backbone. Losing my mother was one of life’s toughest blows, but her spirit lives on in me. My husband and young child are my pillars—their love gives me purpose and strength.

Family isn’t always defined by blood. True friends, who stand by you in your darkest hours, become family too. Their compassion has shaped me deeply.

My extended family includes the orphan and underprivileged children I work with. Their smiles and strength inspire me every day. They’ve taught me what unconditional love truly means.

Let’s broaden our idea of family. It includes single parents, adoptive families, elder caregivers, and chosen communities. Every kind of family deserves respect.

Finally, let’s instill family values in our children—empathy, connection, and responsibility.

Family is where life begins and love never ends. In its embrace, we find strength, healing, and hope.

Upma Dua – Anchor, Model, and Actress

Prioritizing Family Bonds

On International Family Day, Upma Dua, a celebrated anchor, model, and actress, highlights the significance of family in our lives. She believes that family is the foundation that offers unwavering support and unconditional love. However, busy schedules can lead to taking each other for granted.

Upma emphasizes that showing love and care strengthens family relationships. She advises prioritizing family time, bridging communication gaps, and celebrating traditions and festivals together. Surprises, gifts, and small gestures like cooking a favorite meal or making heartfelt cards can bring joy and closeness.

Spending quality time with children is crucial, and family members should engage in fun activities together, such as adventure outings, movie nights, or sharing thoughts. When a family member is struggling, collective support and problem-solving can help.

Upma also stresses the importance of supporting each other’s dreams and creating a positive environment by understanding each other. This helps overcome external stress. By prioritizing family and minimizing mobile screen use, we can build stronger, more loving relationships. Spending time with kids strengthens bonds and keeps them away from screens. By nurturing our family relationships, we can create lasting memories and a happier, healthier life.
