Kamala Nehru College, affiliated with the University of Delhi, hosted a two-day international conference on “Leveraging the National Education Policy-2020 towards Viksit Bharat.” The event brought together leading academicians, policymakers, and global experts to discuss the evolving landscape of education in India.
The conference was inaugurated in the presence of chief guest BR Shankaranand, along with guests of honour Manoj Prasad and Devendra Kumar. Delivering the keynote address, Priyankar Upadhyaya highlighted the role of education in addressing global issues such as inequality and climate change, while emphasising the importance of balancing technological advancements with human-centred learning.
Principal Pavitra Bhardwaj spoke about the vital role educators play in encouraging innovation, inclusivity, and lifelong learning in alignment with NEP 2020. The conference featured four plenary sessions, focusing on key areas such as multidisciplinary education, employability, research, and curriculum transformation.
Scholars from countries including Australia, Bangladesh, Japan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal participated in the event. Over 60 research papers were presented across 14 sessions, making it a dynamic platform for academic dialogue and international collaboration.
