Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, lauded the Supreme Court’s decision to give her husband temporary release on Friday as a “victory of democracy” and stated that the relief is the consequence of millions of people’s prayers and blessings.
In a big relief for Kejriwal, the Supreme Court granted him bail till June 1 to campaign in the current Lok Sabha elections.
Delhi will hold its sixth phase of elections on May 25. The AAP is contesting four of the seven seats as part of a seat-sharing agreement with INDIA bloc partner Congress.

Kejriwal, who was arrested in a money laundering case relating to the alleged excise policy fraud, will have to surrender and return to jail on June 2. June 1 marks the end of the seven-phase elections. Votes will be tallied on June 4.
“Hanuman ji ki jai.” This is a win for democracy. Millions of people’s prayers and blessings have led to this outcome. “Many thanks to everyone,” Sunita wrote on X.
